At Flowa, we believe software should empower your focus without locking your data into a proprietary garden. You retain complete ownership of all tasks, notes, focus session timestamps, and productivity analytics created within your account.
Whether you need to backup your historical focus records, perform custom spreadsheet analysis, or migrate to another workflow, Flowa provides seamless 1-click export options.
1. What Is Included in Your Export Archive?
When you initiate a full data export, Flowa packages your entire workspace into a compressed .zip archive containing:
- Tasks & Subtasks (
tasks.json,tasks.csv): Complete history of completed and active tasks, including custom priority tags, estimates, creation timestamps, and completion dates. - Focus & Pomodoro Session Logs (
sessions.csv): Granular record of every work interval, total minutes focused, pause timestamps, and associated task metadata. - Kanban Board Structures (
boards.json): Visual column arrangements, custom workflow stages, and WIP limit configurations. - Brain Dump & Scratchpad Notes (
notes.md,notes.json): Raw Markdown notes and fleeting thoughts captured in the Focus HUD. - Workspace Analytics & Trends (
analytics_summary.json): Daily and weekly aggregated focus scores, streak calculations, and hourly productivity heatmaps.
2. Step-by-Step Export Instructions
- Navigate to Settings > Account & Security.
- Scroll to the Data Portability & Archives section.
- Choose your preferred export format:
- Full Archive (.ZIP): Contains all JSON, CSV, and Markdown files.
- Quick CSV Summary: Download just your task history and focus hours for immediate spreadsheet use in Excel, Google Sheets, or Notion.
- Click Generate Export Archive.
- Once prepared, your browser will immediately initiate the download, and a secure download link valid for 24 hours will be sent to your verified email address.
3. GDPR, CCPA & Account Erasure
Flowa is fully compliant with global data protection standards (GDPR, CCPA, and UK GDPR). If you choose to close your account:
- Navigate to Settings > Account & Security > Danger Zone.
- Click Delete Account & All Data.
- Confirm with your account password. All associated database records, analytics history, and synced files are permanently and irreversibly purged from our servers within 30 days of deletion.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I import my data into other productivity apps?
Yes. Because task exports are provided in standard Markdown and CSV formats, you can easily import your records into tools like Notion, Obsidian, Todoist, or custom Python/R data science notebooks.
Is there a limit on how often I can export?
No. You can generate fresh export archives whenever you like at no additional cost on both Free and Pro plans.
